The word racist should be replaced with the word idiot because anyone who thinks that the location of where you were born depicts the type of character you will become are fooling themselves. In every country there will always be a mix of personalities, so the idiot way of thinking will always stand out from those who are lateral thinkers. If we shut our eyes to what people looked like and treated people based on their personality we would soon  discover our inner circle of friends would be like minded people and that doesn't mean the same nationality. So treat people as you would want to be treated and remember the less idiots you associate with the greater your chance of reaching happiness.

As parents we feel responsible for how our kids react in their everyday life situations not just because of what we try to teach them on how to behave in society but also because they are made up of our own DNA which makes us feel we are partly responsible for who they grow up to be. Irrespective of what views we try push onto them it's not only just one thing that influences their choices in day to day life it is their core being that reflects who they  are and shows in their personality. We may try to give our opinions but it is up to them to choose who they want to be and how they want to react that matters. You can not control their thoughts by piggy backing your ideas onto their beliefs, they alone will make the choices that matter to them no matter how much respect they have for you. So be there to support not to take over your children's lives because the moment they feel you've ignored their input is the moment they have ignored your input whether or not you might make complete sense. So lead by example and show them the respect you yourself require.

I keep on hearing stories that people are addicted to their phones as if they are doing only one thing but what the stories fail to mention is that people are mainly using their phones for internet access so blaming the device as the addiction problem when it is just the tool that allows them to get the information they search for on the world wide web. My phone is only used to call people 5 percent of the time it's used majority of the time for checking emails, paying bills, shopping, taking photos, social networking, Audible, Netflix, surfing the net and game playing so taking away a phone which is like a mini computer in the palms of your hand will only remove the easy access that once used to take so much time in your life. If you would rather go back to the time where you had to come home before you got your message, post letters and wait a week for a response, carry a camera all the time and go to the post office to pay a bill then don't get a smartphone. We are addicted to being entertained and information the phone can get us not the phone.
