CANT BEAT THEM JOIN THEM

Eventually, all those who have doubted in their heart join those they have doubted. It's easy to forget your past stand when it doesn't sit well with your future values, how could of you predicted that you were going to be put in the same position only to do the exact opposite to what you've confidently claimed that you would of done. Maybe it's because you were only in your own headspace where you don't have to consider how your choices can lead to undesirable real consequences when you were told to think hard and consider the potential scenario. When you don't have anything to lose, there is no risk for you, so your opinion is tainted with bias, especially if you are incapable of projecting yourself in that vulnerable position when you were asked to. This detachment of emotion has no bearing on your true opinion, which is now made up of fantasy ideals and not your true response. It's not easy for someone to have a perspective that takes into consideration the less than desirable options that force ones hand to do things that they don't want to do. Most people when there is no pressure applied will make calm decisions based on logical thought, so maybe we should take a step back before making judgement to criticise those who are forced to make tough decisions on a regular basis because nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.
