I SAW IT ALLEGEDLY

The word allegedly is thrown around to easily because we don't want to claim that someone is guilty without any solid proof. One of the problems with innocent until proven guilty is that people who witness the incident as it happens have to wait an exhausting long period before they have their say in court and during this waiting period the word allegedly is used to shower the culprit with possible doubt blaming the eye witnesses for possibly getting it wrong. Allegedly should only be used if there is doubt in the accusation not if someone is caught red handed. Guilty people should not be mixed up with those people whos case isn't as straightforward. You commit a crime who should not be thinking there is a chance to get out of it based on the hope of circumstantial evidence supporting your point of view. Consequences need to be concise and consistent so that conditioning can create repercussions to anyone thinking of repeating those crimes. Laws are put in place to protect the community if you do not want to follow the laws you should not be part of the community and be placed in a jail cell so that you could remember that it was your actions alone that got you put in a place where you have restricted freedoms. So think before you commit the crime that could change you life for ever allegedly.
