TOMB RAIDER (2018)

The new Tomb Raider movie shows us a different side to Lara Croft that we are use to in the  popular block buster movies before it, Lara is not the flawless adventurer but now is a vulnerable young woman struggling to come to terms with her fathers disappearance and has yet to find her place in life. Lara must push herself beyond her limits when she follow clues that lead her on a  remote island where she believes her father may have disappeared to. This movie has action from start to finish but seems to turn Lara into modern version of Rambo and not the educated Tomb Raider she has been know for in the games and other movies. An entertaining watch but it could have been a lot better if it took away the impossible scenes and made it look like skill not luck that was on her side. If you don't go expecting anything you will enjoy the movie because it doesn't hit the spot when we have so much Tomb Raider content to reflect back on.
